All of these projects will be started from scratch so your feedback is greatly appreciated. No prior experience in the tech stack is necessary as you will learn everything you need to build the app during the class. All you need is the motivation to learn something new!
- Habit Tracking App
- A social way to track and share habits with others
- Users will have a predefined list of habits that they can track
- Eventually this can be broken down by category of habit (e.g. productivity, fitness, meditation, etc.)
- Users will be able to mark their habits as completed and view their history
- Users will have public facing profiles where everyone can view their habit history
- Users will be able to share their top habits and others users can decide to add those habits to their list
- Users will be able to view the most frequently selected habits across the app

- Parking Lot App
- This is a 2 sided marketplace where users will be able to register their driveways or empty lots and have others users pay to to park their car
- Owners will be able to add pictures, description, location, size of the lot/driveway, and set the daily price per day/hour to rent
- If an owner has an empty lot or owns a parking garage, they will be able to add how many available spaces they have
- Users will be able to search for places to park their car via GPS and city. This can be a list or map or something similar to Yelp which is a combination of both. Within this search users will be able to filter by price and type of parking
- Users will be able to register their car and make a reservation via the app and then get a receipt
- Owners will have a dashboard to view all of the cars on their properties
- Users and owners will be able to rate each other after the reservation has been completed
- Owners will have the option to withdraw their funds to their bank account
- Manual Services App
- The goal of this app is to list local service jobs that don't require any professional experience to complete
- Let's start with home services like car washing, lawn mowing, and house cleaning
- So users will be able to list the service they need and then indicate how much they are willing to offer someone to complete that service
- Other users will be able to search local service jobs available and then apply for them
- This will include a messaging platform where users can message each other to negotiate and ask questions
- The owner will then be able to accept someone for the job by making the deposit up front
- Users will be able to rate each other, view the history of their completed gigs, and withdraw their funds
- Work Schedule App
- This is an app where managers set their employees work schedules
- Employees can login and view their work schedule for the week
- Employees can trade work schedules with other coworkers if both parties confirm or allow another coworker to complete cover their shift
- Managers can view a dashboard of who is working each day of the week
- Employees can block days/times that they don't want to be scheduled for work
- Managers can set an hourly wage per employee and employees can view their projected earnings for the week
- Managers will need to pay a monthly subscription based on the number of employees that they manage
